Hummus
Just a few ingredients and 10 minutes can result in this delicious better than store-bought dip you can serve at a party, when friends drop around or for afternoon tea.

- 400g can chickpeas, rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoon tahini paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon olive oil, plus a drizzle to serve
- 2 tablespoon warm water
Place chickpeas, garlic, tahini, cumin, salt, lemon juice, oil and water in a food processor. Process until smooth.
Serve drizzled with oil on top.
- Hummus can be made up to 2 days ahead. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
- If your hummus is still quite thick, add another tablespoon of warm water and process it again in your food processor.
- Add different toppings including:
- Pinenuts
- Smoked paprika
- Chopped fresh parsley or chives
- Chopped fresh chilli
- Dakkah
